As a proud patron of the Diana Award, Kate will be hosting an evening on the 9th December to honour the regions young heroes.
The Diana Award joins forces with a host of celebrities to award 150 young heroes from across Yorkshire and Humber with the Diana Award. Whether they’re a volunteer, fundraiser, young carer, campaigner or anti-bullying mentor they have all had a monumental impact on the lives of others. This is the first major award ceremony in Leeds for the Diana Award and includes music performances and inspirational speakers.
The Diana Award, has the Prime Minister David Cameron as Patron and the support of The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry. It was set up as a lasting legacy to Princess Diana’s belief that young people have the power the change the world for the better. It is a lifetime award which celebrates the amazing achievements of inspirational young people who come from all walks of life – many have challenging and disadvantaged backgrounds, but they share a deep sense of social responsibility.
